Dragon Green Pandan Jasmin Perfumed AAA 10 kg: Long jasmine rice has different names. It is also called Thai hom mali rice, pandan rice or perfumed rice. The jasmine rice is a long grain rice with a soft texture and a nice aromatic scent of jasmine when you prepare it. This rice sticks a little bit together during preparation.

Before cooking, wash the rice 2-3 times with water to reduce the starch. This also makes the rice taste better. For the preparation, use double the water for the rice. So for 1 serving of rice of 185gr you use 350 ml of water.
With the jasmine rice there is also a difference between old and new rice. Old jasmine rice is easier to prepare than new ones. The new jasmine rice absorbs water more easily, so you have to reduce the water with cooking.

Instructions: Take 75g rice (per person), rinse in running water and place in a large pan of boiling water. Stir and bring back to the boil, keeping uncovered. Reduce to a rolling simmer for approx. 10 minutes or until rice is tender. Drain water, cover and leave to stand for 3 minutes, then lightly fork through the grains and serve. Cooking appliances vary and these instructions are given as a guide. Please ensure that the rice is piping hot throughout before serving.
