How to Make Fufu Using African Taste Potato Flakes:
Ingredients:
African Taste Potato Flakes – 1 cup
Water – 2-3 cups
Salt (optional) – a pinch
Steps:
Boil water: Start by boiling about 2 cups of water in a pot. Add a pinch of salt if desired, to enhance the taste.
Add potato flakes: Remove the pot from heat and slowly pour in the potato flakes while stirring continuously. This prevents lumps and ensures a smooth mixture.
Mix thoroughly: As you stir, the potato flakes will absorb the water and thicken into a mash-like consistency. You can return the pot to low heat if necessary to ensure it reaches a thick, doughy texture similar to fufu.
Adjust consistency: If the fufu is too thick, add a little more hot water and mix until it becomes stretchy. If it’s too soft, sprinkle in a few more potato flakes and continue stirring.
Shape the fufu: Once it reaches the right consistency, shape the fufu into balls using a wooden spoon or by hand with the help of plastic wrap.
Serving:
